Children’s Music Classes in West Sussex
Education Through Music offers expert children’s music classes that are perfectly placed for West Sussex families. Based on the Hampshire–West Sussex border in Emsworth, we welcome children aged 2–10 from Chichester, Southbourne, Bosham, Funtington, Bognor Regis and all across West Sussex. Families travel up to 30 miles to attend — and we think you’ll soon understand why.
Our Saturday classes are rooted in the Kodály and Dalcroze methods — two internationally respected approaches that develop children’s musical intelligence, listening skills, and creativity from the very earliest age. This isn’t just music for fun (though it certainly is fun!) — it’s music education that makes a real difference.
Saturday Classes for West Sussex Children
Mini Music Makers — Ages 2–4 | 9:40 AM – 10:10 AM | £5.90
A joyful parent-and-toddler music class for children aged 2 to 4. Mini Music Makers uses singing, movement, scarves, balls and hoops to lay the foundations of musical understanding — all through play. No experience needed, just bring your little one and enjoy the music together!
Music Adventurers — Ages 4–6 | 10:15 AM – 10:50 AM | £6.50
For children in Reception through to Year 2, Music Adventurers builds real musical skills through structured, child-centred learning. Children develop pitch awareness, rhythm, notation and ensemble playing in a warm and encouraging environment.
Music Stars — Ages 7–10 | 10:55 AM – 11:45 AM | £7.90
Our most advanced class, designed for older primary-age children. Music Stars develops musical literacy — reading notation, singing in parts, playing large drums — and gives children a strong foundation for future music learning, including instrumental lessons.
All classes run on Saturdays during term time. A sibling discount of £3.50 is available when you bring more than one child.
